Community Care and Connection
Welcome to our Community Care and Connection page, where we highlight ways to care for and connect with fellow Unitarian Universalist Church of Bloomington congregants. This space serves as a bulletin page that will be updated based on need.
Please join in celebrating UUCB Racial Justice Task Force leader Ruth Aydt as she receives the City of Bloomington's Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Legacy Award at the annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Birthday Celebration on Monday, January 19th. The event starts at 5:30pm and is free and open to the public. Ruth joins UUCB members Gladys DeVane and Connie and Guy Loftman as a recipient of this award.
From Ruth:
Thanks UUCB!
Sincere thanks to everyone who expressed their congratulations on my receipt of the 2026 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Legacy Award. My involvement with the UUCB Racial Justice Task Force years ago was the first link in the journey that led to this great honor. Let’s keep the momentum going…consider participating in the Martin Luther King Jr. 40 Days of Peace volunteer opportunities and attending Black History Month events.
Thanks UUCB! - Ruth Aydt
